Step into Salvatore`s and step into a true Italian experience!

 Salvatore Tinervia wanted more for his wife, Vincenza Tinervia, and his sons, Giacomo and Giovanni.  So, in 1971, the allure of America brought Salvatore`s young family to Detroit where he found work in construction with a relative. Vincenza worked as a seamstress.

Five years later, in 1976, "Salvatore’s Pizza and Italian Restaurant” was opened.  Their culture and upbringing gave them talents that make their family’s delicious old world recipes special.  With pride, careful attention to the quality of their food and the dedication of the whole family, Salvatore’s  has risen to the top and become a Grand Rapids favorite.

The family has grown since then and now includes Giacomo`s wife Frances, and their two sons, Salvatore and Gabriel, and Giovanni`s wife, Barbara and their son Emmanuel.  Here is where the family mixes tradition…the old and new.
